Crenshaw Christian Academy Deer Hunt Date - January 23rd, 24th and 25th, 2009 Hunters - Hunters must be sixteen years of age or older. Cost - $750.00 - Cost includes meals, deer cleaning and meat storage. Payment - A deposit of $375.00 must be received to reserve your hunt. Payment in full must be received by December 31, 2008. No refunds will be granted after December 31, 2008. Hunts Included - Hunters will be guided Friday afternoon, Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. Check-In - Check-in time is 1:00 p.m. on January 23, 2009, at Crenshaw Christian Academy in Luverne, Alabama. Hunting Requirements - An Alabama state hunting license is required. A three day license may be obtained. The cost is approximately $77.00. A representative will be on hand to sell licenses the first day of the hunt. Hunter orange must be worn. No alcoholic beverages will be allowed. A Hunter's Education certificate is required for all hunters born after August 1, 1977. What to bring - Each hunter should bring a rifle or bow and ammunition. NO SHOTGUNS!!! Each hunter will need a flashlight, rain gear, a large cooler, and warm and cold attire. Hunting Limits - DEER ONLY!! Each hunter is allowed to take one buck per day. Some properties have specific limitations on antler size. Does may be taken if the landowner and regulations permit. Hunting Location - Crenshaw Christian Academy has obtained permission from local landowners to make available several thousand acres of prime South Alabama hunting properties. Most of the properties are privately owned and restricted in hunting pressure. Stand locations will be drawn on a daily basis and each hunter will be subject to the restrictions placed on each location by the landowner. Tax Deduction - A portion of the package price may be tax deductible. Upon a request, a certificate will be mailed to you to evidence your donation. Transportation - Transportation can be provided for an additional charge from the Troy, Alabama and Luverne, Alabama airports. Privately owned vehicles are urged. Lodging - Lodging can be obtained at the following motels in Luverne, Alabama: Best Western Rutledge Inn (334) 335-3050, Camellia House Bed and Breakfast (334-335-2535). We will set aside a block of rooms at the Best Western for hunters at a preferred rate. Meals - A light breakfast will be provided Saturday and Sunday. A light lunch will be provided Saturday. There will be a steak cookout Friday night and an old fashioned fish fry Saturday night. Meals are provided for hunters only.
